Our commitment

Accessibility statement

We are a disability organization. If this website is hard to use, that is our problem to fix, not yours to work around.

Our standard

We build and maintain this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We test with keyboard navigation and screen readers, and we treat accessibility defects as bugs, not enhancements.

What we have built in

  • An accessibility toolbar with larger text, high contrast, and a dyslexia-friendly font.
  • A skip-to-content link and full keyboard operation of every menu, form, and dialog.
  • Visible focus indicators and headings in a logical order.
  • Text alternatives for images and labels on every form field.
  • Color contrast that meets or exceeds AA, and no meaning conveyed by color alone.
  • Plain language, short sentences, and no jargon where we can avoid it.
  • Forms that can be completed at your own pace, with a phone alternative for every one of them.

Known limits

Some content we link to lives on other organizations' websites, including our payment partner Zeffy, advocateiep.com, and pahrumppartyrental.com. We cannot control their accessibility. If one of those pages blocks you, call us and we will complete the task with you over the phone or in person.

Another way is always available

Every form on this site can be done by phone, in person at our building, or on paper. No one has to use a computer to get help from PDOP.

Tell us about a barrier

If you hit something you cannot use, please tell us. Call (702) 516-0847 or email staff@pdop.info with the page and what happened. We aim to respond within two business days and to fix confirmed barriers as quickly as we can.
